Goodbye Google Cal, Hello iCal in the iCloud!

A while back I did a post on how to sync Google Cal and iCal. At the time I didn’t realize how popular of a post it would be. It is probably one of the most commented and most looked at post on the site. And to be perfectly honest, I really like the solution of being able to sync Google Cal and iCal. But, like any other tech nerd, you are always looking for something better or something else that fits your style  a little more. In my case, I found a different solution to having access to my calendar anywhere and it is probably a little easier than using two different programs in Google Cal and iCal.

Publish Sync: Update Twitter, Google +, and Facebook At The Same Time

With the advent of social networking and the variety of networks to choose from, it is inevitable that we were going to end up with a problem. That problem being updating all of our social networks.When Twitter and Facebook got popular, there were many ways to sync the two accounts so that you could get your tweets onto Facebook or vice versa. But, now that we have a new player in the social networking game, Google +, it added another layer of status updates that we had to keep up with.

PandaBar: Pandora in Your Menubar

Pandora is a great website to use to listen to your favorite music and to discover other great music that is out there for you to enjoy. But one of the things that I never liked about Pandora were the ads and the fact that there was no dedicated Mac app for it. Yes, I could pay the yearly fee of $36 to have satisfy both of these needs, which I have, by the way. But, there is now another alternative.

Tunesque: iTunes in Your Menubar

I am all about having the least amount of menubar apps as possible. So, I am pretty selective when it comes to what menubar apps I decide to leave up there. When I first tried out Tunesque, I knew within the first 5 minutes that this app was going to stay up there for good.

Are you a frequent iTunes searcher? I know I am always looking for the latest and greatest apps, music, and books for my iOS devices. But, opening up iTunes can sometimes be so slow at times. Wouldn’t it be nice if we could search iTunes without having to actually open iTunes? This is where an app like Tunesque comes into play very nicely.

Fantastical: The Calendar App That Fantastically Easy To Use

Every once in a while you will come across an app that you think to yourself “this is it.” This is the app that solves so many different problems; it makes like so much easier. That is exactly what Fantastical is.

Fantastical is a calendar app for your Mac. Now, before you get bored and decide “Oh, not another calendar app.” or “What can this calendar app that any other calendar app can’t do?” Well, instead of me writing about it, I felt the best way to communicate how cool this calendar application is, was to actually show you how it works.
